Day 45: Thu 16 Feb - Denhams Beach to Weetangera, 163km

Cool in DB to quite hot in Cbr
Start time: 8:45am; arrived: 12pm
Walk: 2km

We left the beach after a light breakfast, heading for Canberra. We just had to stop in Braidwood as it was morning tea time (how convenient!), and we frequented the Braidwood Bakery, just because you cannot go through Braidwood without stopping at the bakery. As there are no RV parks close to the bakery, Greg dropped Wendy off and parked next to the park. Coffees and eats in hand, Wendy walked up the hill and we had mornos in the shade in the park; Greg had a custard tart which looked a lot better than the sultana scroll Wendy had.

We arrived at our 'free' camp (Wendy's brother's place) in the suburb of Weetangera in Canberra just before lunch, set up, said hi to Suz and Henry, had lunch and then a little snooze. The temperature has certainly risen, but it is a dry heat, so more bearable than when it is humid. Wendy then accompanied Suz to school to pick up Jo and Carla as she will be doing it on her own tomorrow! After a play with the kids, it was time for a walk around the block.

Dinner was at Kev and Sam's place in Flynn. We had Indian (again) takeaways which was yummy as always. We got home about 9:45pm and sat and chatted with Dale and Suz for a while before bed.
