Day 42: Mon 13 Feb - Denhams Beach

Cool in the morning, pleasant overall

No riding or walking today, just domestic chores; Wendy did three loads of washing. G&Y left just after mornos and whilst Wendy set up her computer, Greg helped dad in the garden - cut down five tree ferns and some other stuff.

After lunch we all had a snooze, and then Wendy logged in to do some work, but didn’t get much done as Dad has a large ulcer on his left leg which we suspect developed after they shaved his leg for his knee replacement last Nov. This ulcer has gotten larger despite multiple courses of antibiotics. It was biopsied last week and not dressed appropriately, just kept bleeding, and then the stitch pulled. So, Wendy re-dressed it a couple of days ago, using a better dressing and when it was removed, she suggested dad go straight back to the doctor to have the stitch removed and re-assessed. The Dr said the results of the biopsy were negative for any bad stuff, gave him another script for antibiotics and the nurse dressed it appropriately this time. Hopefully it will now improve.

It was then time to prepare the vege for roasting - mum had cooked a roast lamb. So, guess what we had for dinner?  Very yummy indeed.
